Rose Festival Performance – June 7, 2014
The Northwest Chinese Alliance is back again with another strong team of 40 beautiful dancers performing the very best in traditional forms of Chinese folk dances.
This year’s team was co-directed by Ms. Zhang Li and Ms. Meiya Fulepp, both very experienced and well-known artistic directors and dance teachers in the Portland Metro area. Our team of performers worked very hard over few months to rehearse and get ready for the 2014 Grand Floral Parade.
Many of our volunteer dancers are from the local Chinese community and all have strong interests in showcasing Chinese culture to the global audience during the Grand Floral Parade. The group also includes some visiting teachers from China who are teaching Chinese in Portland’s elementary and high schools.
We thank them for their great efforts and contributions to support the Portland metro area Chinese community to showcase Chinese culture and outreach to the general community.
